USNA Graduation Celebrations and Company Outings

The word “Annapolis” brings to mind two things: the Chesapeake Bay and the United States Naval Academy. Watermark® has specialized in both for over 45 years. Watermark® offers full destination management to all visitors to Annapolis including families of USNA midshipmen. We regularly work with Navy families to host private event charters, graduation celebrations, private cruises, battalion and company formals, group outings and group tours. For alumni returning to Annapolis, our vessels are the perfect place to have a reunion.

A Testimonial from the USNA Class of 1958

There are only compliments and thanks – no concerns. The Class of 1958 thanks Watermark and Kens Creative Kitchen for the superior service provided jointly by your two companies for the outstanding USNA Class of 1958 Dinner Cruises held on April 25 and April 26, 2013. Every facet of these delightful voyages up the cherished Severn River were gems in themselves.

The Dinner Cruise Sub-Committee of the Class 55th Reunion Committee has been overwhelmed by accolades from the 300 plus Classmates, wives and guests that thoroughly enjoyed this remarkable and probably un-paralleled Naval Academy Class Reunion activity.

Both cruises were conducted in perfect weather during a beautiful sunset followed by the rise of a full moon that enhanced the great scenery. These cruises were elegant and classy affairs fully fitting for the Great USNA Class of ‘58. The views of the Maryland shoreline with beautiful topography and large homes were very nice, especially from the third deck. Seeing our revered “58 Is Great” flag flying from the forward mast made us proud…

The spacious Catherine Marie yacht buzzed with the excitement of USNA party goers fully engrossed in catching up on new happenings and re-telling old tales. The excellent dinner table arrangements allowed each of the individual Companies to conduct their own close parties and yet, at the same time, have the unfettered mingle opportunities of a Classwide function. The two well-stocked bars on the main and second decks provided a full choice of beverages and prompt service by the three skilled bartenders.

We have received numerous post-reunion inputs from the attendees and most of them had glowing comments about the dinner cruises. An important subject in our Class now is handicap accessibility and the Catherine Marie is very well equipped in this area. We had one guest in a wheelchair that had no problem with access to the second deck. A few others had walkers and canes that were easily stored and readily available out of the way but within easy reach.

The joint coordination by Watermark and Kens Creative Kitchen was very evident in their seamless efficient operation while underway aboard the beautiful Catherine Marie.
